It teaches the child key aspects of the baby's care through the comparison with mother-baby animal pairs and through the eyes of a child.The author, who is also the illustrator, had twins at 27 weeks' gestation. She noted that children seemed overwhelmed and confused when visiting their tiny siblings and believed a children's book would help them.
